About Sue
I have been working within the health and
wellbeing industry since 1997, following many years working in industry.
Starting out as a Reiki healer, I then trained in a full range of holistic
therapies and now have wide-ranging abilities to help clients with their
problems.
I have trained to Master level in two healing systems, hold certificates in
several others, and currently teach Tera-Mai™ Reiki and Seichem as well as
other training and workshops. I hold a teaching certificate in Delivering
Adult Learning.
Healing is my first love and retains a high profile in my practice with
clients travelling across several counties both to receive healing and to
train with me. Requests for distance healing often extend to several
closely-written A4 pages.
During 2007, I will complete my own system of energy channeling, currently
only available as a demonstration, and make it available to the public as a
training workshop. Several other new workshops are also being
developed. Please see 'about us' for details of training.
I spend many weekends each year delivering training and workshops, and
delivering healing and giving talks and demonstrations at Mind, Body and
Spirit fairs; for this reason my one-on-one therapy work is mainly
restricted to weekdays.

What might a treatment be like?
A completely relaxing experience! Treatments are carried out in low
light to aid relaxation, and with relaxing music or silence as you prefer.
(For clients with medical problems who require remedial treatments, a
brighter room light may be necessary to pinpoint muscles or tendons; but
although some sessions may consist of more ‘clinical’ work, the welcome is
always warm!) There is no busy ‘salon’ atmosphere, no queue, and no
pressure to 'look the part' or to have the 'body beautiful'.
On your first visit I allow an additional 20 minutes, at no extra cost, to
take a full medical and lifestyle history from you. This is part of the
‘holistic’ process, (from the Greek holos, meaning whole);
considering the person as a whole being, physical, mental, emotional and
spiritual, not just looking at specific symptoms. Following the
consultation we then undertake your chosen treatment, or if your history
indicates that an alternative treatment would be more beneficial, a
different treatment, or mixture of treatments will be considered. On
future visits a shorter update of your current health and progress is all
that is necessary.
If you are aware of specific health issues, please discuss these with me
when you call to book, I can then ensure you are booking a suitable
treatment.
At all stages of your treatment, confidentiality is total. This is
only changed if you indicate so, for example, if you ask for your GP to be
informed of your progress. I am happy to take clients on referral from GPs
and other health professionals.
Appointment Times
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 2 pm – 8 pm.
Wednesday, Friday 2 – 5 pm.
Occasional Saturdays by arrangement.
Other hours by arrangement.

Ethical Practice
Whether you choose an individual appointment of, for example, Healing for
depression, Back Massage for tense muscles, or an Indian Head Massage to
take away the strains of the working week you will be given as much care and
attention as those clients who book a full course of treatments.
You don’t need to spend a great deal of money with me to be valued; I
appreciate each and every client and welcome the chance to help them on
their journey.
However, for those enlightened souls who realise that self-care is of prime
importance, there are some very luxurious treatments on offer too!
Unless a medical condition indicates continuity of treatment; or you have
booked a course of treatment, then I won’t ‘sell’ you another appointment;
this is your choice and you need to ask me to re-book you. I don’t believe
it is conducive to relaxation and healing to have to run the gauntlet of
exiting under the pressure to make another appointment. I want you to
re-book wholeheartedly because you have realised the benefits of the
treatment, even if this is weeks after the initial treatment. ‘Old’
clients are also warmly welcomed back, however long it has been since their
last visit.
Important Information
All treatments are offered on a goodwill
basis. Sue Hinch is not medically qualified and cannot offer a diagnosis or
prescribe medication. Essential oils are for external use only.
Children under the age of 16 are accepted for any treatment provided a
parent or guardian is present at all times. Male clients are accepted
by recommendation and by telephone interview. Appointments for male
clients may only be available at restricted times.
Treatment times stated are approximate and may vary according to client
needs. Sue Hinch reserves the right to make additional charges, or to
shorten treatment time, where a client arrives more than ten minutes late
for a session.
No sexual services are offered or implied.
Sue Hinch reserves the right to refuse treatment to any person. Treatment is
offered and accepted on the basis of mutual respect; abusive or
disrespectful behaviour will not be tolerated.
